Weekly Update #5: Nov. 19 2023

Welcome back to the No Rainy-Day portfolio!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MARKETS THIS WEEK

No change from what was mentioned in the last update. The bulls are back in control. Crypto, Equities and Precious Metals continue to look good. The model anticipated the move and timed well the entry both in equities and crypto.

US October CPI dropped to +3.2% from 3.7% in September and financial conditions continue to ease, with its three components (US dollar, Interest Rates, Oil) heading lower.

Things can always change but It's a bullish market for now.

SUMMARY OF THE ALL-WEATHER MODEL POSITIONING

We have recovered this section from the first issuance as it covers popular vehicles not always prioritized by the model for the No Rainy-Day portfolio that might be of interest.

THE NO-RAINY DAY PORTFOLIO

Coming to portfolio positions. There have been no moves this week. The portfolio continues to ride the model picks that have been performing nicely since they were published:

We started the portfolio with 10.000$ 4 weeks ago. Net Asset Value is up over 30%, in the same period the Nasdaq 100 - our benchmark- grew only 5%. Our quantitative approach seems to be delivering, at least for now.

THE MOST INTERESTING THING WE CAME ACROSS LAST WEEK

We welcome this new section with a piece of financial astrology that has us intrigued by its surprising accuracy: Tritch’s ‘Periods When to Make Money’ model.

Tritch employs a tiered system to delineate distinct phases in market cycles:

• Category A: periods of panic and trend reversals
• Category B: Peak market times, ideal for selling assets at high prices.
• Category C: Signifies periods of low prices, the best time to buy assets, marking the onset of a bull market.

Although Tritch’s chart reportedly demonstrated high accuracy in the past, this approach lacks scientific validation and should be taken with caution. From our side, we will continue to play it following whatever the model dictates, no need to forecast.
